The Real shoot
Our real shoot went better as we expected then our test shoot. this time we had all our equipment. Now we had experience we knew exactly what to do. We changed a lot, having to set up more shots as we wanted more varied shots when Lotus comes in, and making sure we made all the improvements from our test shoot. although you expect it to go really well we did have a slow start as we needed to get leather gloves quickly in the morning. how ever we still started and managed to do all our shoots except for the hardest; the gun shoot. This was because we run out of time and it would take time for me to do the make up and get it right. This meant we now had to schedule another re-shoot this week after school to do it. other than that we are now ready to edit and make our opening sequence perfect.

The Test shoot
The test shoot went well, obviously having few problems which we expected, since that is the reason we had the test shoot to ensure we do better on our real one. On the day of the shoot we arrived on time and started promptly however we noticed we had few important things missing such as my leather jacket and the blood for the gun shoot. We resolved it by simply just wearing a black vest top which assassins tend to wear as well and cutting out the gun shot only having the shadow of the gun shot.
It was quite successful I may have to say considering our real shoot is tomorrow and we have just had this week to edit and make points for improvement.
Here is our edited test shoot.

Points of improvement :
- Better iconography cu images from the start such as cigars.
- Not too many shots of knives looks like he has an obsession for knives or uses them for killing.
- Show a shot of the money in the suite case.
- Have a better entrance for lotus (more build up )
- Shorter script
- Lotus shouldn't pour drink- too nice - and real assassin won't do it- also difficult as she would look away from her target- not professional.
- Better gun shot
- No reveal of her face until the end- build enigma
- Cut out when she calls her boss

Our Test shoot
We scheduled our test shoot to be on Sunday 5th February 2012; however it snowed heavily the night before and i wasn't able to get to the film location as i was taking public transport. It is quite a distance from my house and the trains were not working.
Our shoot that was meant to be in Hollywood, while we was on our media trip, also failed as we were not allowed to shoot in the location. for two reasons we had failed to do a run through on time so we wasn't very sure where exactly we was going to shoot what and where. secondly we had no permission to shoot there and was stopped half way. this taught us valuable lessons. However it is fine, we have back-ups of either shooting back in London next to the civic center or cut out the scene. As having two locations would be difficult and the first scene doesn't necessarily need that scene. We decided to cut the scene out.
We rescheduled another test shoot in the film location (Potters Bar, Francis house) to be on Sunday 19th February 2012. This meant we would have to catch up really quick with the editing of that week hopefully finishing by 22/02/2012; so that we can do our real shoot on 26/02/2012

Special effects: make-up
Since the boys don't know anything about make-up, I will be in charge of the make up for both characters, especially for the bullet hole when Lotus shoots the man on the side of the head.
We both will have basic simple make-up because it helps with the lighting and covers up blemishes.
I have been researching how to create a fake bullet hole on the head, I found a tutorial on you tube:
I am getting fake blood from the technician, the rest I will have to buy.
Shopping list :
Latex/lash glue
cotton wool
concealer
face paint/ eye shadow

Make up and Props Lotus
![]() |
| Grey Skinny Jeans |

| A plain Black vest |

| Grey Military Boots |
I researched into assassins out fits and they are usually very plain and simple but dark too. I went for grey trousers to not only give a contrast with the black top but also for the lighting; since it will be a dark setting it will not look too black out. Military boots show she is well trained like the army people and these are suitable shoes to wear for a job such as her.
My make up will also be plain and simple, just having eyeliner on my eyes to stand out and look sinister; with also the appliance of basic foundation to touch up blotches.
My hair is normally curly but I will straighten my hair as it will look darker and it will make me look much older.
No earrings and nail varnish as assassins are not meant to be girly at all .

Script and Music
Music:
We all decided that we wanted classical music playing in the background as it gets the audience relaxed, and unexpected for the scene where the man gets shot by the female assassin. Also it contrast with all his actions like washing knives, smoking and drinking which is seen as sinister, while the music is seen as beautiful. this almost give the "God Father" gangster feel.
Nico and Francis found the perfect track on http://freeplaymusic.com/
Our only issue was whether to have it non-diegetic or diegetic. we choose non-diegetic as we made the music part of the mans characteristic as we would like to listen to classical music.
Here is a taste:
Script:
In the script we only wanted the man "the target" to talk, so that we dont reveal tomuch about the assassin making mysterious. Francis made a script which didnt completely work with our second pitch as we had changed so much. Francis and I both having done drama came up with one which gave the mans character a sense of fear and dissapointness of his life coming to an end. we had lines such as :"Why now, why right at the end?" and "One word of advice, get out while you can.". However we wanted the character to be a bit more harsh and accepting of his death; knowing his time has come. We had help from our technitian who helped us come up with a very harsh, complex, gangster monolouge.
